Carl Stamey founded Hyperlete Productions after documenting several of his sister’s CrossFit Competitions.

Prior to moving too Chesapeake with his wife Kelley, Carl spent 4 years at New Covenant Schools in Lynchburg, Va as their Assistant Athletic Director, Head Track & Field Coach, Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach, and Sports Performance Coach. He has both a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Lynchburg and a Master of Science degree from the University of Florida in Sport Management. During his time at Lynchburg, Carl was a member of the Lynchburg Hornets Sports Network where he helped with broadcasting sports, creating graphics, and managing the Lynchburg Sports Twitter page.

Growing up, Carl played lots of backyard sports and in high school played basketball and competed in track & field. Beyond running Hyperlete Productions and Behind the Lens Media Productions, Carl enjoys coaching track & field for a local University in Virginia Beach.

Carl enjoys working out with his wife, traveling, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
